Of course, the Verdi union can call for warning strikes. Of course, she can try to paralyze public transport in Munich and many other cities in Germany this Thursday and Friday. And, of course, she can throw to the wind all the good arguments against the 10.5 percent collective bargaining demand at a time when labor costs and prices are threatening to reinforce each other in a “wage-price spiral.” One can always argue about strikes.
