Model Toni Garrn stunned in a shimmering silver gown at the opening of the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday night.

The Hamburg-born top model Toni Garrn (31) honored the opening of the Venice Film Festival on Wednesday evening (August 30). The floor-length robe of the 31-year-old was a special eye-catcher. The strapless dress featured a multitude of square sequins in shimmering silver, which helped the model shine in a head-turning manner.

Accessory as a further eye-catcher

Garrn combined a sparkling statement diamond necklace and simple ear studs with the striking bustier dress by Alberta Ferretti. She wore her blonde hair in a bun in the middle parting, individual strands framing her face. She kept her makeup subtle with some mascara and nude lipstick.

The opening film, the naval drama “Comandante” by Italian director Edoardo De Angelis (44), was shown in Venice on Wednesday. Film director and screenwriter Liliana Cavani (90) also appeared on the red carpet. She was honored with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement during the opening ceremony.

The 80th Venice Film Festival ends on September 9th. A total of 23 titles compete for the “Golden Lion” main prize. This includes “Priscilla” by “Lost in Translation” filmmaker Sofia Coppola (52). Due to the ongoing double strike by Hollywood writers and actors, less prominent guests are expected at the Lido.
