A 60-year-old man first assaulted his partner on Tuesday evening and then got behind the wheel while drunk. As reported by the Poing police, the son of the 48-year-old partner dialed the emergency number during the argument. The heavily intoxicated man fled in his car before the patrol crew arrived. In Kirchseeon, the police were finally able to stop and control the man. An alcohol test showed that the man had significantly more than 1.1 per thousand alcohol in the blood. The man is now facing criminal proceedings for assault and drunk driving.
