Maybe it doesn’t hurt to briefly note one thing at the beginning before going into the aesthetic details: the rock band’s new album Vampire Weekend, formerly from New York, now apparently from Los Angeles, is incredibly fun. It glitters and clangs in every corner, and at the ends it roars, blazes and rumbles fantastically. A rough estimate of 78 percent of it consists of catchy tunes, which is an astonishing rate in 2024.
