Moto2: Top 3 in a class of its own

Acosta is over and can also pull away a bit. Now Arbolino has Fernandez glued to the rear wheel. There is already a big gap behind the top 3 at half-time: Canet in fourth is more than a second and a half behind.

Moto2: Arbolino under pressure

After Ogura, Acosta now arranges Arbolino and puts pressure on him. Fernandez is third and can basically risk everything now to not only end the season with the title, but also with a win.

Moto2: Ogura in the gravel!

Acosta attacks Ogura, but he doesn’t want to give up and takes back second place. It then happens in turn 8: Ogura slides away and finally buries his title chance in the gravel. After less than eight laps, his race is over and Fernandez is sure to be world champion, even if he falls.

Moto2: More falls

Beaubier crashes on the finish corner and ends his last Moto2 race in the gravel. Shortly thereafter, Vietti also goes down.

The top has meanwhile pushed together again. Arbolino still leads, but has Ogura and Arbolino just behind him. Fernandez is just under a second behind in fourth.

Moto2: The order

Five rounds have been completed. Arbolino leads ahead of Ogura and Acosta. Beaubier has caught Fernandez and is now fourth. Behind them are Canet, Aldeguer, Vietti, Arenas and Chantra. Schrötter is 16th and is currently outside the points rankings.

Moto2: Lopez out of the race

Lopez comes off the line a little at Turn 11 and pays for it with a fall. This moves Acosta and Fernandez to third and fourth place respectively. Beaubier is fifth.

Moto2: Arbolino revs up

Once in the lead, Arbolino can open a small gap right away. Ogura is struggling to catch up in second place. Lopez and Acosta continue their heated duel and fight for third place. Fernandez keeps a safe distance.

Moto2: change of leadership

At the end of the first lap, Acosta pulls past Lopez. But then Lopez overdoes it in Turn 2 and pushes Acosta off. Both fall back to third and fourth place behind Arbolino and Ogura. Fernandez is now fifth.

Moto2: The start

Lopez holds the lead at the start of the 25 laps of the race. Acosta holds second while Fernandez loses during the early corners. He drops to sixth behind Arbolino, Ogura and Aldeguer.

Moto2: Grid

The first title decision of the day is coming up! In Moto2, the advantage lies with Augusto Fernandez with 9.5 points. His pursuer Ai Ogura needs to score ten points more than him to still clinch the title.

On the grid, Fernandez is third just two positions ahead of Ogura in fifth. Alonso Lopez starts the race from pole. Acosta and Fernandez complete row one. Arbolino, Ogura and Roberts are behind them on row two. Marcel Schrötter has a lot of work ahead of him in his last Moto2 race from 22nd on the grid.

Moto3: The Voices of the Top 3

Izan Guevara (Aspar-GasGas; 1st): “I feel great! The race was great. I was very fast and I have to thank my team for the incredible work throughout the season. I’ve won all four races in Spain this year. It’s incredible. This race here was my last in the Moto3 class. Next year I will be riding Moto2. So it was the perfect finish.”

Deniz Öncü (Tech 3 KTM; 2nd): “It was a close fight with Izan, especially on the last lap. He’s the world champion and rode very well. I tried my best. I guess I gave him an invitation in the last corner. So he won the race . Congratulations to Izan! But I have to say that I still leave this team with a good feeling. The beaming faces make me happy.”

Sergio Garcia (Aspar-GasGas; 3rd): “It’s an unbelievable feeling to finish second in the World Championship. That makes me very happy. The race was really fast. It wasn’t enough for me today, but I’m really happy. Many thanks to my whole family. My father is every time on site. Thank you very much for that!”

Moto3: Moreira is Rookie of the Year

Despite a long-lap penalty, Moreira fought his way to the finish line in eighth place at the season fale and thus clinched the title “Rookie of the Year”. He is eighth in the World Cup.

Moto3: Garcia takes runner-up title

With third place, Garcia secures the runner-up spot behind teammate Guevara. GasGas is thus celebrating the perfect season with world champion, runner-up and team titles. In the end, Foggia still moved up to fourth place, but remained third in the World Championship.

Sasaki rounds out the top 5. Behind him are Fernandez, Munoz, Moreira, Yamanaka and Holgado. McPhee says goodbye with eleventh place. In the end, Ortola fell back to twelfth place. The remaining points go to Tatay, Suzuki and Migno. Masia and Toba drive out of the pit lane to positions 22 and 24.

Moto3: Victory for Guevara!

Öncü puts the pressure on: In turn 8 he outbrakes Guevara, both turn almost side by side into the next corner, but Guevara has to back down. Öncü is still ahead in the last corner, but Guevara has the better acceleration and crosses the finish line 62 thousandths ahead of Öncü. What a last lap!

Öncü still can’t find a way past it. He only has one round left to attack Guevara. Garcia is six seconds back in third.
