Curevac draws conclusions from the disappointing study results of its Covid-19 vaccine. The biotech company gives up its first production partnerships for the manufacture of the vaccine. The contracts with Wacker Chemie and Celonic have been terminated, said Curevac. Other contracts remained in place. Curevac attributed this to lower demand for its vaccine, which only showed 48 percent effectiveness in the crucial clinical trial. It remains to be seen whether the vaccine will ever be approved.
