When it comes to vaccinations against Sars-CoV-2, terms appear that are unsettling: cerebral vein thrombosis, myocarditis, allergic shock. The rule here is that vaccinations are only permitted and recommended if the benefit clearly outweighs the harm. Spring is almost forgotten when the – consistently high – effectiveness of the vaccine was compared to a medal evaluation. With the narrower view of complications, the successes of the vaccination campaign are slightly in the background. It is high time for a provisional benefit-harm balance, in which the information fluctuates slightly because the data basis of the studies is not always identical. The magnitude of the advantages and disadvantages becomes clear despite these deviations.
