Vaccination in Bavaria: how far is the immunization? – Bavaria

Bavaria vaccinates. More than six million people in the Free State were fully vaccinated by the end of July, according to the figures from the Federal Ministry of Health. 7.7 million people had received at least the first dose of a vaccine by then – that means 59 percent of people. However, other federal states have picked up the pace even more: Even in a large federal state like North Rhine-Westphalia, 64 percent of residents have received the first vaccination so far, as has Lower Saxony

In the meantime, the prioritization has also been completely lifted in Bavaria: both at the doctors and in the vaccination centers, all those who want to be vaccinated can receive an immunization.

Even children from the age of twelve can theoretically get vaccination appointments after the Biontech / Pfizer preparation has been approved by the European Medicines Agency EMA. The US manufacturer Moderna also received approval for its corona vaccine for children and adolescents from the age of twelve from the EMA at the end of July.

A general vaccination recommendation for children from the experts of the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) in Germany has not yet been made. She recommends vaccinations against the coronavirus only for 12 to 17 year olds with certain pre-existing conditions.

Here you can see the daily vaccination progress according to the figures reported to the Robert Koch Institute.
