Between January 2021 and February 2022, more than 900,000 doses of vaccine were injected into the upper arms in the booths in the Berlin exhibition halls 21 and 22. To plan the center, a Lego model was first built.

One of the few success stories of the Berlin administration are the vaccination centers that were set up in early 2021 at locations such as the former Tegel Airport or the former ICC congress center. Hundreds of thousands of Berliners received their anti-Covid injections here. They are now used less, and the Malteser vaccination center at Messe Berlin has been closed since the end of February.
