Vacation: Travel portal users choose the most beautiful beach in Germany

The holiday season is open – the desire for sun, beach and sea is increasing. Many are drawn south, but Germany also has some beautiful beaches to offer. The travel portal “Travelbook” asked its readers and jointly chose the most beautiful beach in Germany. More than 34,000 beach lovers voted – the result: the beach in Sankt Peter-Ording came in third place. 10 percent voted for the up to two kilometers wide and 12 km long beach, which is also popular with surfers. Rank 2 is shared by 3 beaches. 12 percent achieved on the one hand the 13 km long west beach on the island of Fischland-Darß-Zingst – incidentally the only Baltic Sea beach among the top 5. Also the beach on the North Sea island of Juist and the beach of Kampen on Sylt. With 15 percent, the south beach on the beautiful island of Borkum made it to number 1.
