Culinary is a year-round theme on the island. The Sylt Restaurant and Hotel Fitschen will take part in the Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival again this year. The guest chef is star chef Daniel Raub, who prepares a five-course menu for guests on October 31st and November 1st.
Of the Heath triathlon on October 2nd in the Braderuper Heide is a slightly different marathon, which is less about records and more about being there. Under the guidance of the Naturschutzgemeinschaft Sylt eV, the participants make clear ship in the heather: Young trees, wild roses and thorn bushes that threaten to overgrow the heather have to be pulled up manually with the roots, a very sweaty discipline. Music, cabaret and literature – The new theater season has already started, a theater subscription could be worthwhile for permanent guests on the island.
