The Gabby Petito case has attracted a great deal of attention in the United States and around the world. Now a coroner has announced more details about the death of the young woman.

In the Gabby Petito case, the cause of death has been determined. The 22-year-old was strangled, said forensic doctor Brent Blue on Tuesday in the US state of Wyoming.

The Gabby Petito case has attracted a great deal of attention in the United States and around the world. Petito and her 23-year-old boyfriend set off on a trip through the USA in the summer, which they documented on social networks. Petito’s boyfriend eventually returned from the trip without his girlfriend. Investigators were looking for the young woman. Her body was finally discovered in Wyoming in September. There is now no trace of her boyfriend – investigators are looking for him.

«We are only entrusted with determining the cause of death (…). Who committed the homicide is a matter for law enforcement, ”said Blue. Images from a police officer’s body camera had emerged from the couple’s trip. The police stopped Petito and her boyfriend on suspicion of physical violence after an argument between the two.
