US to Consider Digital Asset Bill in Two Months – Bitcoin Addict

The United States is preparing to consider a draft digital asset law.

House Financial Services Committee member Patrick McHenry will attend structural hearings on US digital asset markets. That will be held in May, with other US government officials also participating. And has issued a joint statement in the arrangement of this meeting that

“Our committee is jointly signing legislation to set clear rules for the digital asset ecosystem. We have to strike the right balance in protecting consumers without hindering innovation.”

McHenry said the joint venture is the first time a state committee will seriously look at the structure of digital asset innovation.

“What we plan to do in the next two months is a report related to fundraising for digital assets. Consider how digital assets can be commodities, as well as how our rights over products that do not meet the definition of securities or commodities will be regulated,” he added.

McHenry emphasized that the aim of this hearing is to draft legislation that provides regulatory clarity to the crypto industry. It will consider amendments to the law on financial innovation.
