US Supreme Court: the political court – opinion

Supreme Court justices are less and less afraid to intervene in American life. Another example of this is that ethnicity is no longer allowed to play a role in admission to university places.

One of the essential features of democracy is the separation of powers. In the USA, this is no longer the case in parts. That’s because the Supreme Court, the country’s supreme court, has now become an overtly political institution. The judges are less and less afraid to deliberately intervene in American life, and clearly along the political lines.
