US presenter Maria Menounos: Baby blessing and pancreatic cancer

US presenter Maria Menounos is currently looking forward to her first child. But happiness was overshadowed again.

She is only 44 years old – and has already had to do so much: US presenter Maria Menounos surprisingly ended her career in 2017 because she not only had to take care of her mother Litsa, who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor, but also because she herself suffered from a brain tumor the size of a golf ball. The benign tumor could be removed, but it was not just this stroke of fate. She was only able to look forward to several babies with the help of a surrogate mother in 2021 – only to have to mourn the loss of her mother first and then that of the babies. The 44-year-old and her husband Keven Undergaro also had to part with the surrogate mother with a heavy heart.

Now the couple is expecting another child, a baby girl, with the help of another surrogate mother. But again his joy was clouded. Because first Maria Menounos was diagnosed with diabetes, then another tumor was found. This time she was diagnosed with stage two pancreatic cancer. The tumor that was removed from her was almost four centimeters in size. “I was like, ‘How the hell can I have a brain tumor and pancreatic cancer? All I could think about was there was a baby on the way,'” she tells the US site.people.com“.

But the presenter was operated on in time. She doesn’t need chemotherapy or any other treatment to recover. “I’m so grateful and I’ve been so lucky.” Now she would appreciate her daughter even more than without this experience. She also wants to share her suffering in order to encourage others to have their complaints examined carefully. Because early diagnosis is particularly important in the case of cancer and can save lives. Maria Menounos is to be wished that from now on life will only have positive surprises in store and that she can fully look forward to her new life with a baby.
