US court issues Justin Sun summons to address in Singapore which deals with the civil lawsuits of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In an April 12 filing, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New Yorkorder to Sun had to respond to the subpoena within 21 days by contacting SEC attorney Adam Gottlieb, according to the court. “There will be a tacit judgment” if the founders of Tron do not respond — and will offer penalties related to alleged securities law violations.
While on Justin Sun’s social media accounts indicates thatHe just went to Hong Kong.
In March, the SEC filed a civil lawsuit against Sun, the Tron Foundation, the BitTorrent Foundation and Rainberry over Tron’s handling of the offering and sale of unregistered securities.
It accused Sun of engaging in “wash trading regulating” by helping drive public interest in TRX and BitTorrent (BTT), with the help of celebrities such as Soulja Boy, Lindsay Lohan, Jake Paul and Akon.
