Upper Bavaria: Man intentionally drives into a group of people in an off-road vehicle – Bavaria

According to police, a man intentionally drove his car into a group of three people in Upper Bavaria. Two men were hit head-on by the SUV in the incident in Garching an der Alz (Altötting district) and injured, one of them seriously, the police said on Monday. Both were taken to a hospital.

The 53-year-old suspect was arrested on site on Saturday. The man from the Altötting district is now in custody on suspicion of attempted murder. The police and public prosecutor’s office are currently investigating the suspect’s motive and the background to the crime, a police spokesman said on Monday. He initially did not want to provide any further information due to the ongoing investigation.
