Upper Bavaria: 17-year-olds tow scooters with gym bag string – Bavaria

Two 17-year-olds in Upper Bavaria tried to tow a scooter with another scooter using a string from a gym bag. On their attempted journey from Munich to Ingolstadt, they were stopped by a patrol in Schweitenkirchen (Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district) on Tuesday night, the police announced on Tuesday.

During the inspection, the officers discovered that the tow rope was a cord from a gym bag. In addition, the scooters are not insured and neither of the two young people have a driving license. According to the police, the 17-year-olds were also unable to provide any proof that the scooters belonged to them. An insurance license plate was attached to one scooter. However, the license plate was issued to another vehicle.

The scooters were confiscated by police until the owners are identified. The two young people from the districts of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and Freising are now facing charges of, among other things, driving without a license, misuse of license plates, forgery of documents and violations of the compulsory insurance law.
