This Monday, the public prosecutor of Marseille André Ribes requested up to six months in prison against the eight former police officers of the former anti-crime brigade of the northern districts, prosecuted for drug thefts, cigarettes and money.

The heaviest sanctions were required against six of the 18 defendants, including two of the group leaders of the BAC North at the time of the facts in 2012. In its indictment, the prosecution, which did not ask for any release, and has required a minimum sentence of one year suspended against five defendants, lamented the “formidable” and “not glorifying” image of the police returned by the case.
