Unterschleißheim – Sweet Delights – District of Munich

Something sweet in Bavaria – and something savory in Occitania: On Saturday, the two twin towns of Unterschleißheim and Le Crès in southern France celebrated the day of Franco-German friendship with culinary delights. While there were pretzels – “des bretzels” – in Le Crès, crêpes were sold at the Unterschleißheim Saturday market on the town hall square. It is possible that one or the other has taken this opportunity to want more and would like to take part in an exchange with the partner city – the next visit to southern France is scheduled for May of this year. Anyone who wants to find out more about the town twinning can find information on the website of the town of Unterschleißheim (www.unterschleissheim.de). The friendship treaty between the two cities was signed in 1973.
