Unterschleißheim – Stink Princess and Blechbixn – District of Munich

The little witch, a stink princess, Punch and Judy, the crocodile, snack thieves, elves, magicians – for friends of fairy tales and children’s theater there is again a lot on offer at this year’s Unterschleißheim tent festival on Rathausplatz. Concerts and cabaret round off the program.

On Monday, August 2nd, Otfried Preußler’s “Little Witch” is going on an excursion with Abraxas, beginning at 3 pm, on Tuesday, August 3, Doctor Döblinger’s Tasteful Puppet Theater will present two performances, one at 3 p.m. with “Punch and the Stink Princess”, one at 4.30 p.m. with “Kasperl and die Brotzeit”. The characters usually parlate in the Bavarian dialect. On Thursday, August 5th, narrative theater will be presented with music: “Josephine and Parcival – The adventures of a sow from the undercool” (3pm), on Friday, August 6th, Kasperl meets the “lion in the circus” and on Saturday, August 7th, the classic “Oh how beautiful is Panama” by Janosch will be shown, beginning at 4 pm. In the evening, from 7 p.m. onwards, the Frank family presents their “circus show”.

In addition, visitors can look forward to a varied music program in the coming week: Zydeco Annie & Swamp Cats present on Tuesday, August 3rd, “The Spirit of New Orleans” and promise a mixture of “pounding Zydeco, traditional Cajun, soulful blues and grooves”. Two days later, the Blechbixn perform in the center of Unterschleißheim: the four brass girls from Lower Bavaria target the world of men. With cheeky lyrics and a musical mixture from Balkan offbeats to dialect pop in the big bang style, they want to make the audience sweat. On Friday, August 6th, the “Lauschgold 3.0” trio will strike a gentler note: Evelyn Huber, harpist with Quadro Nuevo, Martina Eisenreich, renowned composer and violinist, and percussion artist Wolfgang Lohmeier are all outstanding soloists. Together they stand for high ensemble art with their virtuosity and passion for experimentation. Thanks to an extraordinary stage design, your concert (beginning at 8 p.m.) should not only be a feast for the ears, but also for the eyes. Admission to the events is free.
