Unterschleißheim – reception for 80 children’s heads – district of Munich

A look at smiling, satisfied faces, like that of the five-month-old Letho Klimt with his mother Busi, naturally makes a mayor’s heart happy. Year after year, the baby reception is a firmly booked feel-good date, even if Christoph Böck could not expect on Sunday in the ballroom of the Unterschleißheim community center that the young guests would all be hanging on his every word. And there are even said to be open contradictions and screams at such meetings. Nevertheless, these encounters are a welcome change from the meetings of the city council, where things are so dead serious. The city has made it a good tradition to invite newborns and their families once a year. On Sunday, the 275 children who sent out their first cry into the world between August 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022, along with their parents and siblings, were invited. 80 of them were expected. As usual, the little ones were unimpressed by the mayor. The parents used the event to network and they took away some information about what the city does for families.
