Unterschleißheim and Siegertsbrunn: Ecumenical Peace Prayers – District of Munich

It’s been a year since Russian troops began their illegal invasion of Ukraine. An end to the war is still not foreseeable today. In order to convey hope and show solidarity with the people in Ukraine, the Christian churches in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn are calling for an ecumenical prayer for peace on Friday, February 24, on the anniversary of the beginning of the war. It begins at 6 p.m. in the Catholic pilgrimage church of St. Leonhard in Siegertsbrunn. In Unterschleißheim, too, the churches invite you to commemorate the anniversary at the weekend: On Sunday, February 26, at 6 p.m., an ecumenical prayer service will take place in the Protestant Genezareth Church. Afterwards there will be Ukrainian soup in the community center.
