The Munich police are investigating the death of a 93-year-old resident of a nursing home in Unterhaching. The woman died after a physical altercation with an 89-year-old roommate at a New Year’s Eve party at the facility, which resulted in the woman falling to the ground. She was taken to a clinic for medical treatment, where she died the next day. The responsible specialist commissioner has now started the investigation because, according to the police, a connection between the fall and death could not be ruled out. The dispute between the seniors at the New Year’s Eve party was sparked by the fact that the 93-year-old had opened a window to ventilate, which the 89-year-old was disturbed by. In the fall, the 93-year-old suffered a fracture of the pelvic ring, according to the police report.
