The youth leisure center in Unterföhring was closed for a year and a half. Now the “Fezi” on Jahnstraße is reopening after extensive renovations. On Saturday, May 14th, Mayor Andreas Kemmelmeyer will officially hand over the renovated and partially expanded premises to the operator of the Munich-Land District Youth Council at an open day.
The municipality of Unterföhring did not splash out on the renovation of the children’s and young people’s club built next to the sports center in 1988. The work was estimated at 4.7 million euros. During the construction phase, the caregiver team turned their offers to the nearby children’s and youth farm. Now the young visitors as well as the parents and the clubs can look forward to the successful completion of the renovation. Concerts can be held again in the youth leisure center in the future, but private people in Unterföhring also have the opportunity to rent rooms there for children’s birthday parties, parties, class celebrations or club celebrations.
