Unterföhring: Martin Frank receives culture prize – district of Munich

The busy cabaret artist Martin Frank, who grew up in Hutthurm in Lower Bavaria, has a secret recipe for staying grounded in his challenging everyday life, as it says on his website: “Milk the cows at home on the parental farm as often as possible and check the milk yield with arias increase!” Apparently, his amazing vocal performances (and satirical chains of thought) are also well received outside the stable.

With his program “One for all – All for none”, Martin Frank played his way into the hearts of the audience during his performance in February 2022 in the Unterfoehringer Bürgerhaus – which has now been rewarded with winning the Unterfoehringer Audience Award. The municipality invites the winner, who received the most “very good” votes in the voting, to a guest performance in 2024 in the community center, where the trophy and prize money of 4000 euros will also be presented.

The South German Chamber Ensemble under the direction of Markus Elsner, who were invited to the Venetian Night, and the Moldovan National Ballet with their “Nutcracker” ended up in second and third place in the audience’s favour. A total of around 3000 votes were cast in 2022.
