Unterföhring: Day of social volunteering – district of Munich

Social life in a community would hardly function without voluntary commitment and people who stand up for others. The municipality of Unterföhring now wants to encourage its citizens to get involved and help out. On Saturday, March 4th, interested parties aged 14 and over can find out about possible voluntary work in the foyer of the community center at Münchner Straße 65. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can gain insights into various areas of volunteering and make initial contacts in a non-binding and informal atmosphere.

Representatives of the Awo, the Familien-Haus association, the social services development association, the helpers’ group, the Kolping family, the neighborhood help and the VdK social association are available for discussions. Teams from the Community Advisory Center, School Routes, Open Bookcase and Host Town delegation, which receives the New Zealand delegation for the Special Olympics this summer, also answer questions about their activities.
