“Uno”, “Donuts”, “Trio”… Games to get angry with your family or friends

Haaaa, the simple pleasure of getting angry with your family and friends before the end of the year… If discussions about politics, veganism or Gérard Depardieu haven’t already allowed you to clear the air around you, no Worry, you still have one infallible weapon: opposition board games.

We’re joking, of course. Of course… But all the same, what did the designers of Uno at the time of releasing this special edition “Show’em No Mercy”, in French “Have no mercy”? HAS 20 minuteswe decided to test this special edition where you can steal an opponent’s game, accumulate +2s and +4s, but also throw +6s and even +10s… If your friendship resists these cascading low blows (and the prolonged games that these new rules arouse), it will resist everything…

Here are other opposition board game tips that allow you to test the strength of the bonds that unite you with the other players around the table.

“Threesome”

36 cards, numbered from 1 to 12. The aim of the game? Form three trios of identical cards. To do this, we can, each in turn, “call” either the highest or lowest card of one of our opponents. Or turn over a card from the center of the table. If we mess up, on to the next one. Very simple, Trio is however one of the best games of the year. The hint of chance which mixes with strategy and memory (essential to victory) allows you to slip in what is necessary in bad faith for monumental shouting matches between players. The masterstroke consists of winning in one go by forming the trio of 7, the hardest to achieve (if you know how to count, you already understood that).

“Donuts”

It looks like a tic-tac-toe, but bigger. And above all much more devious. With its modular board of 6 by 6 spaces, Donuts promises hours and hours of play for two. You have to create a line of donuts of your color. Problem, the boxes indicate the direction in which you must place your donut. Another problem: the opponent. By placing his pawn wisely, he can change the color of our donuts. Here again, the recipe is simple enough to make it seem like an easy game. It is not so. We have known players who worked hard over 13 games to defeat their 8-year-old son and save (a little) their honor…

“6 that surprises”

6 that surprises – Gigamic

After the Unoanother great classic of the card game… 6 who takes has been around for over twenty-five years and has since been among the top best-selling card games. The aim of the game ? Get rid of your cards. The way to achieve this? Make sure that other players are forced to finish a line of 6 cards and therefore collect them in their hand. The new version, titled 6 that surprises, adds a new column and special cards. Less punitive than its elder (and therefore less conducive to lamentations such as “why are you taking it out on me and not your mother?”) but also faster, 6 that surprises has the immense merit of allowing infinite revenge.
