Unlimited Blue in Sieghartsburg: New jazz series in Ebersberg – Ebersberg

From next week there will be a new series of concerts in the district town of Sieghartsburg. Jazz from the 1950s and 60s can be heard there every Thursday, played by the formation Unlimited Blue by Stefan Zenker. The Munich saxophonist founded the group in 2006 together with trumpeter Franz Weyerer, pianist Jan Eschke and Ernst Techel on bass, and Frankfurt drummer Max Mahlert. The band’s name refers to the famous Blue Note label, so Unlimited Blue also has pieces by Dexter Gordon Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter Coltrane in its program.

In recent years, the group has had numerous performances in the region and has often been heard in the Ebersberg district, including at the Grafinger concert series Jazz im Turm. The new concert series in the Ebersberg Sieghartsburg will be played in changing casts, always on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There are two sets with a break in between. Admission is free, but donations for the musicians are welcome.
