“Unique in the world”… The first water park in France announces a new XXL slide

In a few years, O’Gliss Park has become a reference in France. Opened in 2016, the structure based near La Tranche-sur-Mer (Vendée) has quickly become the first water park in France, with 210,000 visitors welcomed in 2023. Located on eight hectares of vegetation, O’Gliss Park just closed its doors on Sunday, much to the chagrin of people still on vacation in the area who hoped to cool off there as the heat hits France. The establishment’s teams are not going to be idle, however, and are preparing for the arrival of a “unique in the world” novelty for 2024.

An increase in attendance

Baptized “Stingray”, this new attraction should display imposing measurements. Four slides are announced for a set “as large as the 12 slides already present in the park”, promise the officials from O’Gliss Park, which evoke “a unique slide in terms of design, engineering and route”. This world exclusive will be available from June 2024 in the Vendée park.

Despite the gloomy summer that tourists experienced on the Vendée coast, the company was able to attract 10,000 more visitors than in 2019 (+5%), which was the structure’s reference year.
