Again, a coach has to explain that he was not surprised by what he and his team just experienced. We knew what to expect, they say. Or: That’s how you know Union Berlin. Dortmund coach Edin Terzic put it this way on Sunday after the 2-0 defeat: “Everyone knows what they are doing and nobody can prevent it.” For him, as for Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann a few weeks earlier, all prior knowledge was of no use.
