Uli Hoeneß is still upset about the separation from Julian Nagelsmann and shoots against the former Bayern leadership.

In connection with the dismissal of coach Jullian Nagelsmann, Uli Hoeneß has gone after the former bosses of FC Bayern.
In the program “BR24 Wahl – der Sonntags-Stammtisch” he didn’t give a damn about the former Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn and his sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.
“I didn’t replace the coach,” Hoeneß responded to the moderator’s introductory words. He started the round with the words: “You have replaced the board, sports director and coach at Bayern.”
The decision to fire Nagelmann in March of this year was “not necessarily a wise one,” Hoeneß continued.

The supervisory board member had already stated in a conversation with the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” that he was not involved in the decision made by the management duo at the time.
“No, nobody. Even Herbert Hainer, as chairman of the supervisory board, was informed far too late. And something like that simply doesn’t work,” criticized Hoeneß at the time: “On the Wednesday before the final separation, Hasan stood at my door and said: We want to do it , and actually we’ve already decided that.”
Hoeneß: Nagelsmann is a good national coach
The former Bayern president still considers Nagelsmann to be a very good coach. According to Hoeneß, he will approach his job as national coach with high motivation: “He is completely fresh and has recovered well. He will now move forward at full speed.”
Hoeneß’s opinion of Kahn is now completely different. “The appointment of Oliver Kahn as CEO was a big mistake,” said the 71-year-old. “When I realized that he couldn’t do that, I changed that with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.”
Hoeneß made serious accusations against the former Bayern boss regarding his attitude to work. “Oliver Kahn recently said in an interview that a CEO doesn’t have to work 24 hours a day. To that I replied: ‘But it should be 12.'”
Hoeneß: “…then he doesn’t have to work anymore”
Hoeneß also recognizes a general development in this. “We used to earn well as footballers, but we were aware that we would still have to work later to provide for the family,” he explains.
“If a footballer plays football at Bayern for ten years, then he no longer has to work at all. Whether the player is prepared to work twelve hours a day, six days a week when that is no longer necessary – that is the big one Ask.”
As is well known, a lack of commitment was also the reason why RB Leipzig parted ways with Max Eberl. The former Bayern player is now being talked about as the new strong man at Munich.
Hoeneß did not want to directly confirm that Eberl would work for FC Bayern in the future. But he indicated that a solution would be found soon.
