The Russian attack on Ukraine not only brings death and destruction, it also drives millions of people to starvation. Shocking images are already showing how people in Ukraine can hardly get groceries or have to melt snow because they have nothing else to drink. And hunger will probably not stay in Ukraine alone. Aid organizations warn that the war will lead to devastating hunger crises in parts of Asia and Africa. According to the German Welthungerhilfe, many millions of people could be affected in these regions alone.
