It is a historic decision and a turning point under great pressure: the federal government decided on Saturday evening to support Ukraine with defensive weapons. 1,000 anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger surface-to-air missiles are to be delivered to Ukraine “as soon as possible” from Bundeswehr stocks. This was announced by government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit in Berlin in the evening.
