So there he is, the Ukrainian President, in military olive green, under the oversized chandelier in the Élysée Palace. It’s one of several surprises that day. Selensky unexpectedly traveled to London only on Wednesday morning, and in the afternoon the French Presidential Office announced that Selensky would be received by Emmanuel Macron in the evening – together with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This Thursday, the Ukrainian President will travel on to the EU summit in Brussels.
