Ukraine war: Putin is counting on time and dwindling help from the West

Vladimir Putin is betting that military aid from the West for Ukraine will dwindle – and that Russia can still win.

Residents of the Ukrainian village of Hroza gathered to bury Andrii Kozyr, a soldier who died at the front. They sat around a large table. Then the rocket hit. The victims’ phones, wallets and ID cards are later piled up in an old car tire. Ringing cell phones call for owners who no longer answer. Their remains are bedded on rubble and rubble. White body bags lie close together, some with blood on them. More than 50 dead. Witnesses report that Andrii’s son Denys is among them, as are his wife, grandmother, grandfather and mother-in-law.
