Explosions can be heard in the south of Crimea. There are initial reports of a possible damaged Russian ship. But this has not yet been proven.

From the south of the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which was annexed by Russia, there are possible incidents on Wednesday night Explosions have been reported. The Ukrainian media “Ukrainska Pravda” reported, citing an anonymous source at the HUR military intelligence service, that the Russian Black Sea Fleet had been attacked with drones. The Russian landing ship “Caesar Kunikov” was so badly damaged that it sank. This could not be independently verified. There was initially no official notification from the Ukrainian side.

The Russian Defense Ministry only spoke of six Ukrainian drones that were allegedly successfully shot down over the Black Sea that night.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a full-scale Russian invasion for almost two years. The Ukrainian military has already sunk or at least seriously damaged Russian warships with missiles and maritime drones on several occasions. The Russian Black Sea Fleet has now been largely pushed out of the western part of the Black Sea.
