Russia is once again attacking Ukraine with nightly air attacks. The city of Kharkiv, which is close to the border and is particularly hard hit, is once again hit particularly hard.

According to official information, new Russian drone and missile attacks took place overnight, especially in the northeastern Ukrainian city with over a million inhabitants Kharkiv claimed civilian casualties. “A total of eleven people were injured and six people were killed,” military governor Oleh Synyehubov said on his Telegram channel.

Nine residential buildings, dormitories, an administration building, a kindergarten, a café, a car wash and a gas station as well as several vehicles were damaged by the bombardment with repurposed S-300 anti-aircraft missiles.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov had also written about drone attacks on the city. According to information from Kiev, Russia shot down a total of 32 combat drones and 6 missiles of various types against Ukraine during the night. The Ukrainian Air Force said 28 drones and half of the missiles were intercepted.

In addition to Kharkiv, impacts were also reported in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia areas. There it hit a farm and an industrial company. No casualties or major damage were reported.

Russia has been waging its war of aggression against Ukraine for more than two years. Moscow also regularly shells its neighbor’s hinterland, killing civilians and destroying vital infrastructure.
