Ukraine has already won the information war. One of the recent hits is pop icon Sankt Javelin. This is a figure of the Madonna with a Ukrainian trident in a halo, which instead of the Child Jesus has a model anti-tank missile javelin cradles in her arms. In the official Saint Javelin Shop you can buy the character on t-shirts, coffee mugs, stickers, hats and iPhone cases. The Ukrainian-Polish-Canadian ex-journalist Christian Borys runs the site from Toronto. There is also merchandise with the Snake Island soldiers saying “Russian warship – fuck you” and a few other motifs from pro-Ukrainian memes such as the Patron mine detector dog, tractors and the Turkish one Bayraktar-Battle drone. The site is said to have already brought in more than a million dollars. Profits are donated to the reconstruction. But the propaganda coup is far greater. Ukraine added a new chapter to the history of propaganda with such memes. However, the goal is neither the Ukrainian population nor the enemy Russia, but the West.
