In his video message on Sunday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reiterated what his military and diplomats have been saying for months: In view of the increased Russian air strikes, the country urgently needs additional air defense, especially, as Zelenskiy explained, of the US type patriot. This mainly has to do with the necessary range of the defense missiles. Ukraine is faced with new weapons and, as a result, changed tactics from the Russian attackers, against which it has so far only been able to defend itself to a limited extent.
