The Ukrainian armed forces say they have destroyed a large Russian landing ship off the Crimean peninsula. The military said it was the “Caesar Kunikov”. According to a report by Ukrayinska Pravda, the ship was hit and damaged by Ukrainian naval drones.

The Ukrainian media portal published several videos showing a column of smoke and helicopters flying over the sea. So far there has been no reaction from the Russian side. In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry only reported six Ukrainian drones that were allegedly successfully shot down over the Black Sea during the night.

The date of the reported attack is also interesting: February 14, 1943 is the anniversary of the death of the eponymous Soviet naval officer Caesar Kunikov, who fought in the Second World War.
Already in December, the Ukrainian armed forces said they had attacked and destroyed a warship from the Russian Black Sea Fleet – Moscow, on the other hand, only spoke of “damage” to the ship. The target of the attack in the port of Feodosiya on the Russian-annexed Crimean Peninsula was the landing ship “Novocherkassk”, which, according to Kiev, was targeted with cruise missiles.

Two new laws are intended to make it easier for soldiers to be drafted to the front. Air forces hit a Russian warship in Crimea.
