The members of the journalist network asked questions in more than 400 towns and villages ukrainer.net: “What makes us different?”, “Who are we?”, “What dreams are we living?” A book was published with the title “Ukraine – Our homeland without war”, which has now been published by Frederking & Thaler. All profits go to the Ukrainian emergency aid.

In June 2016, Bogdan and a few like-minded people embarked on their first expedition across the country. They announced their idea on social media, garnering thousands of followers. Thus began the first round of the expedition through the historical regions of Ukraine, which lasted two and a half years. Since then, the team has conducted two expeditions: they traveled all over Ukraine twice.

Small production teams, which included producers, interviewers, photographers, cinematographers and drivers, each visited a specific region of the country to find non-trivial but important stories.

UkraÏner explores the everyday life and traditions of the people who create something new and valuable or who preserve what makes up the mosaic of Ukrainian identity and multiculturalism. Over the years, UkraÏner recorded dozens of stories during expeditions in the farthest reaches of the country, as well as in the big cities. This book is based on a selection of the best stories from the expeditions.
