Ukraine-News: Poland’s President Duda worried about Wagner mercenaries in Belarus

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg makes the willingness of the military alliance to defend itself against any threat from “Moscow or Minsk” clear. At its summit in Lithuania in mid-July, the alliance will decide to strengthen its defense systems to protect all of its members, and especially those with borders with Russia and Belarus, Stoltenberg said in The Hague.

With regard to Belarus’ taking in Russian mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin after his aborted uprising in Russia, Stoltenberg says it is too early to make a final assessment of the consequences of this incident.

“It is absolutely clear that we have sent a clear message to Moscow and Minsk that NATO is there to protect every ally and every inch of NATO territory,” said the NATO chief.
