Chancellor Olaf Scholz has been on the phone with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin for the first time since mid-September talked about the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, which has been going on for a good nine months. According to the announcement, Putin also called on Scholz to review German policy in connection with Ukraine. The Kremlin chief also defended the recent massive rocket attacks against Ukraine in response to “Kiev’s provocations” against civilian infrastructure in Russia, including the bridge to the annexed Black Sea peninsula of Crimea, which was badly damaged by an explosion, and energy objects.
