Ukraine eyewitness report: bombs on people, bombs on culture – politics

The philosophy professor Volodymyr Abashnik from Kharkiv describes how Russian bombs destroy human lives, universities, museums and clinics – and how students take exams in the middle of the war.

At 2:51 a.m. there were three explosions in the Nova Bavaria district of Kharkiv, and then a few minutes later four more explosions in the Slobidskyi and Kyivskyi districts. That night there were seven Russian anti-aircraft missiles of the type S300 fired from neighboring Russia’s Belgorod, said Oleh Synehubov, the head of the Kharkiv military administration, a few hours later. This time a home for deaf patients and two buildings of Kharkiv University were destroyed. A main heating line, a dental clinic, a bakery and a beauty salon were damaged.
