“This is just the beginning”: Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have reached their fundraising goal

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have already raised more than $30 million for Ukraine with their fundraiser. And they still want to help.
For Mila Kunis, helping her home country, Ukraine, is a matter close to her heart. With husband Ashton Kutcher, the actress started a fundraiser to help.

As they explained in an Instagram video, they wanted to raise $ 30 million (around 27 million euros) and increase this amount by another three million dollars (around 2.7 million euros). The couple has already achieved that.
“We are overwhelmed and grateful for the support. And while the problem is far from solved, our joint efforts will allow many people to have a softer landing as they face an uncertain future,” Kunis said in a video. Ashton Kutcher made the pledge that he and Kunis “will treat every dollar as if it were donated from our pocket – with respect and honor for the work it took to earn it, with the intention of love, with which it was given and the desire that it be maximized for a positive outcome for others”.
“Please don’t stop”
However, the goal was far from being achieved, both declared. Although overwhelmed by the willingness to help, they called on their fans to continue supporting the war-torn country. “Please don’t stop. This is just the beginning of a very, very, very long journey,” said Mila Kunis.
“I was born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, in 1983 and came to America in 1991,” Kunis said in her video in early March, explaining her intention to donate. Although she has always felt like an American and is grateful to the country for everything, she is currently very proud to be Ukrainian. “The events taking place in Ukraine are devastating. There is no place in this world for this kind of unjust attack on humanity,” she said.
