It goes ! France qualified for the Davis Cup group stage by overcoming Hungary 3-2, thanks to Ugo Humbert’s victory over Fabian Marozsan 6-3 6-3 on Saturday in Tatabanya. All in control, the young Messin (86th player in the world) was very solid in service (81% of first serves) and dominated Marozsan, a last-minute substitute for Zsombor Piros, in 1h04.
The debates were initially balanced, the two opponents going blow for blow from the baseline in the first set.
