UGC employee claims they were ‘asked to lie’

This is an edifying testimony collected by BFM Paris. An employee of the UGC company, affected in the capital by bedbugs, claims that its management asked its employees to “lie to customers”.

“We know from colleagues who worked at UGC Danton and Odéon that the director asked employees to lie to customers who asked the question about the presence of bedbugs. We had to tell them that there was none, even though there was,” indicates a person working at UGC to our colleague from the television channel.

Cinemas, TGV or metro

Contacted by BFM Paris Ile-de-France following this testimony, the company UGC specifies that it takes “the problem of bedbugs very seriously by investing massively since 2017”.

The presence of bedbugs has been reported in recent weeks in cinemas, TGV, in the Paris metro or the waiting area of Roissy airport but the RATP and SNCF subsequently indicated that their expertise did not failed to identify a single case. Summoned to take the subject head on, Anne Hidalgo’s First Deputy took up her keyboard to write to the Prime Minister and inform her of this “scourge” and demand an action plan.
