Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207 landed a real hit with “Komet”.

Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207 have surpassed an ancient record with “Komet”: No other German-language song was longer on the one.
“Komet” is at the top of the single charts for the 17th time, replacing the Matthias rhyme hit “Verdammt – ich lieb’ dich” at number one with 16 weeks. In all, just two other songs also topped the charts 17 times: the disco classic “Rivers Of Babylon” by Boney M. and the 2017 summer hit “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi feat Daddy Yankee. So this new record beckons in the coming week.
In a short statement, Lindenberg is enthusiastic about the renewed success: “Yeahhh. Wow. Who would have thought that … absolutely flashed.” His rapping colleague Apache 207 explains the renewed triumph: “It’s nice to see that ‘Komet’ unites different generations and can therefore achieve this success. We are overwhelmed and happy that our music can achieve something like this.” “Komet” was released in January 2023 and has been in the top two of the singles charts for 25 weeks without interruption.

As in the previous week, Ski Aggu, Jost & Otto Waalkes are in second and third place in the charts with “Friesenjung” followed by “Tabu” by Yung Yury & Damn Yury. The only newcomer in the top 5 is the rapper Bonez MC with his new song “So”. On the other hand, there is more movement in the album charts: Here Kollegah jumps to number one with his new work “La Deutsche Vita”. Second place goes to Taylor Swift and “Speak Now” as a reentry. Apache 207 took third place with “Gartenstadt”, which was able to work its way up one place compared to the previous week.
