U-turn at Robin Gosens? DFB star probably shortly before moving to Inter Milan

Most recently he was linked with Newcastle, but now his future is said to be in Italy: Gosens is probably facing an Inter move.
The future of National player Robin Gosens is apparently still in Italy. Like transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported, the 27-year-old is close to a move to Inter Milan.
The talks between Inter and Gosens’ current club Atalanta Bergamo are nearing completion, the transfer should take place in winter. According to reports from Italy, Atalanta is averse to a winter transfer.
Robin Gosens: Instead of Newcastle, now Inter Milan?
Most recently, Gosens has been linked with a move to Newcastle United, recently reported Sky Italia via a commitment from the winger in the direction of the Magpies. Accordingly, he had already agreed on a three-year contract with the nouveau riche Premier League club, including tripling his current salary.
Now Gosens has apparently changed his mind and decided to stay in Italy again. He has been playing for Bergamo since 2017 after spending five years in the Netherlands.
Inter for Gosens sportingly much more lucrative than Newcastle
In terms of sport, Inter offers a much more lucrative perspective. The Nerazzurri currently top the table in Serie A and are on course for another championship title. In addition, the team coached by Simone Inzaghi is still represented in the Champions League, with Liverpool FC waiting in the round of 16.
However, Gosens expects a tough fight for a regular place in Milan. The club was desperately looking for a reinforcement for the left flank in the 3-5-2 system, but mainly to relieve Ivan Perisic. The Croatian is placed under Inzaghi, Gosens would probably have to be content with the role of challenger for the time being.
But the tide could turn in the summer. Perisic’s working paper expires at the end of the season. A contract extension is not yet in the offing. In any case, Gosens is currently missing match practice. He has been out since the end of September due to a hamstring injury.
